I’m sorry about the lack of updates recently. As you may already know, our internet connection at the house isn’t very reliable, and it seems that things are only getting worse. Until we can get things up and running again, updates will be sporadic at best. So very very sorry!!!

11 July 2008we don’t need to live in fear
5 July 2008We Don’t Need To Live In Fear was originally a protest song about how governments keep their people subjugated through fear tactics, and how if I somehow found myself in a position of power that I’d try to dismantle that kind of mindset. But then I thought that this kind of song has been done and done much better than my attempt, but since I still liked the music, I thought I’d try to look up various myth stories from different cultures (Celtic, Ancient Greek and some sort of Native American) that dealt with confronting our fears. I like these lyrics approximately 17 times more than the first attempt.
solitary hootenanny
4 July 2008While I’ve been able to keep up with the unofficial Tuesday-Thursday-Saturday updates for the site (despite some extremely close calls recently), it seems that I was just unable to work on Solitary Hootenanny until this Friday’s Fourth of July OMG AMERICA EXTRAVAGANZA. As you should know, internets here are fickle during the day, and I’m sometimes tuckered out by the time it works again at night, and still really tired by the time it zonks out again, so it places my sleepy body in quite a predicament.
But before the nets go bye-bye, I must get this entry published. Happy Belated Canada Day!!!!!
